LTCLINKTank Competition Announced To Introduce Emerging Products into the Senior Living and Long Term Care Provider Market
Contest will give winner the start-up capital and expertise to accelerate their product to the healthcare continuum.
The First Annual LTC “LINK-Tank” is an important new competition that focuses on solving market challenges for Long Term Care and Senior Living Providers who serve the fast growing aging population living independently and across the care continuum. The LTC LINKTank is hosted by InnovateLTC and the LTC LINK Conference.
The LTC LINKTank is a premier industry gathering where cutting-edge startups meet top Venture Capitalists, Corporate VCs, Health Care Buyers and Suppliers and introduce them to the Senior Living Market and Long Term Care Marketplace.
Who Can Participate?
This competition is open to individuals, researchers, teams and entrepreneurs with product in development that will dramatically improve how LTC and Senior Living providers deliver higher quality care, wellness, life enhancement, and socialization based on emerging technology.
Several dozen organizations have been invited to participate in the competition, including Georgia Tech, Stanford University, University of Southern California, Wright State University, University of Texas-Dallas, Salk Institute for Biological Studies, Tufts University, Georgetown University, Oregon Health and Science University and the Mayo Clinic.
Judges will include provider organizations, technology experts, VCs, and Angel Investors. Finalists will present in front of an audience of over 100 senior living and long term care provider organizations who will be on hand to ask questions and help determine the value of each idea.
How Does the Competition Work?
The competition opens on June 5 to any non-profit or for-profit research organization, individual entrepreneurs or development teams with a product in development – pre-revenue – for the long term care or senior-living markets. The competition is structured in three phases:
- Nominees need to complete the initial nomination form by June 30: 2012 LTC LINKTank Submission Form
- InnovateLTC will work with final nominees to help prepare for the live presentation.
- Nominees will present at the 2012 LTC and Senior Living LINK Conference. Up to five finalists will receive a travel stipend to present their ideas to a panel of judges at the LTC and Senior Living LINK conference, July 30th in Chicago and a chance to win $10,000 in non-dilutive capital, sponsored by InnovateLTC, a business accelerator based in Louisville, KY.

I do love opening a Aging 2.0 email, because there is always something in the content that makes my brain crackle with possibilities. For someone like me with “visionary syndrome”, it’s adds up to yet another chink in my logic chain.
