At its recent AgeTech Expo, Aging2.0 held the 3rd annual Pitch-for-Pilots (P4P) competition where market-ready startups pitched their innovations to senior care providers in the audience in hopes of securing pilot partnerships.
Selected from more than 150 applications, the pitching companies presented the problem they are addressing, their solution, what kind of pilot they would like to run and any requirements for the potential provider partner. The prize at hand for senior care partners? A free, 6-week pilot during Q1 or Q2 2016 with at least 10 senior participants.
Conference attendees voted in real-time on the quality of the pitch, the quality of the idea, and the impact for aging services. Then during the remainder of the conference, senior care providers had the opportunity to submit application to pilot with the P4P companies.
Pilot partners represent a broad range of senior care providers: geriatric case management, home care, single-site assisted living and CCRCs, and multi-site senior living providers. Aging2.0 Alliance members are well represented among the provider pilot partners, including: Home Instead Senior Care, Front Porch, Mary's Woods, Motion Picture Television Fund, CareLinx, RiverWoods and Live Well at Home by Eskaton.
Aging2.0 will provide guidance & support to pilot partners, and capture highlights of the pilot experiences in case studies to showcase in conjunction with the 2016 Aging2.0 Summit & Expo October 12-14, 2016 at the San Francisco Hilton Union Square.
Congratulations to all of the companies involved!
