[INFOGRAPHIC] The Cost of Aging in America

By 2060, almost 98 million Americans will be 65 and older, which will be more than double the amount reported in 2013. Older Americans will account for more than 20 percent of the U.S. population, an unprecedented number. Why is this the case? Because health advancements related to treatment and prevention of disease are helping people live longer than ever before. Aging2.0 Hosts 30 Pitch Events in 30 Cities within 30 Days

In September, Aging2.0 kicked off an initiative called #30in30in30 - where we hosted 30 pitch events in 30 cities around the world... all within in 30 days! Thanks to the support of our Chapter network, sponsors, partners and volunteers, we are proud to announce that more than 180 startups presented at the various events, and we reached more than 2000 people in 14 countries (over 5 continents)! As we look back, we are amazed by the Aging2.0 community, excited by the innovations that are being developed around the world, and hopeful that the effort of our team and our Chapter network will continue to give entrepreneurs a platform from which to accelerate their impact on the senior industry. The final culmination of these 30 pitch events will be taking place in Silicon Valley this fall at the Global Startup Spotlight session of the Aging2.0 AgeTech Expo. Out of the hundreds of startup companies that applied and pitched at local events, the following were selected to present. Several companies were also chosen to participate in the 3rd annual Pitch for Pilots competition!
