This holiday season, Aging2.0 Austin would like to express appreciation to all those who provide care and services to older adults by bringing you together with innovators and investors who can potentially grant your “Letters to Santa” wishes.
According to AARP’s recently released, Aging and Readiness Report, “Every day in the U.S., 10,000 people turn 65 years old, and the number of older adults will more than double over the next several decades to top 88 million people and represent over 20 percent of the population by 2050. The rapid pace of change creates an opportunity and an imperative for both the public and private sector to harness the potential of the growing segment of society and to ensure the welfare of older Americans.”
Aging2.0 is a global network already on a mission to support innovators who are focused on the biggest challenges and opportunities in aging. The local chapter, Aging2.0 Austin, is creating an ecosystem of entrepreneurs, technologists, designers, investors, senior care providers and older adults to find the best and most innovative solutions for aging in our local area. We can then help to promote those solutions through the Aging2.0 national and global channels.
Send "Letters to Santa" wishes for new products, software, ambulation devices, prosthetics, furniture, healthcare and other solutions that will help provide better care and service to seniors. Also, let us know what kinds of products and solutions older adults would want to use themselves. Be creative! You are limited only by your imagination. Think sensors, robots, virtual reality, artificial intelligence! The best letters will be presented at the event and voted on. Some real solutions, that you will find hard to believe, will also be shared.
This event has limited seating so RSVP early and send "Letters to Santa" by November 22nd. This is a FREE event. Disregard the credit card icons, they are not activated.
