Managing Partner and Founder
Abby has spent her career helping businesses and consumer brands grow as an operator, entrepreneur and advisor, most notably in the wellness sector. Prior to Primetime Partners, Abby was an executive at SoulCycle, where she oversaw business development and revenue growth outside the consumer studio business, with an emphasis on building new digital products as the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Growth. Abby has also been a Founder herself, teaming with Arianna Huffington to launch Thrive Global, a behavior change technology company focused on employee productivity and wellness. Abby served as President of Thrive Global and remains on the Thrive Board. Abby began her career at McKinsey & Company then led product development at OXO International. She is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Business School.
Janet has over 30 years’ experience investing in both public and private companies
and assists early-stage companies with their strategic finance function and fundraising.
Janet joined the 1843 Capital team in late 2019 as a Venture Partner and is a Partner in
Fund II. She has served on the Board of Directors of ROAR.io, an augmented-reality
platform from 2020-21, and Shindigz, a privately held ecommerce company from 2014-
From 1991-2000, Janet was an equity research analyst at Morgan Stanley covering
consumer discretionary and small cap after which she joined a hedge fund managing
Bass family funds. Prior to starting Five Mile Advisors, Janet co-founded Eachwin Capital
where she was responsible for consumer investments. Janet serves on the Board of the
CT Women’s Business Development Council, a non-profit supporting female
entrepreneurs in Connecticut and mentors through several accelerators, including
Davis Wright Tremaine’s Project W, Founder Institute, Female Founders Alliance, teaches
a financial modeling module for Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health’s
Entrepreneurship class, and lectures frequently on financial modeling for startups.
Janet received her B.A. in economics Phi Beta Kappa from DePauw University and her
Master of Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of
