Lorraine Morley, Lead Researcher, Silver Economy Innovations at Allia Future Business Centre will introduce the audience to the centre, see overview here. The Future Business Centre is a growing community of individuals and companies looking to create a positive impact for planet and people. The FBC is the home for social or environmental ventures. Irrespective of business models, all our members have a desire to make a positive impact, on either people or the planet, at the heart of their business. We invite residents and non-residents to join our community, and the Centre hosts a continuous flow of interesting and relevant events and programmes, providing a stream of learning and networking opportunities.
For our entire community, this is a great opportunity to reconnect with Aging2.0. We are very active in expanding our reach into the investment community, think tanks and Government. Come find out what we are doing with a new angel investment initiative with Innovation Warehouse called Aging 2sdays. We are developing closer ties with an early stage investment fund with a focus on a fintech innovation around financial wellness. We are also expanding our relationship with the International Longevity Centre and their activities.
The earlier announced "Consultation for UK Industrial Strategy Fund - Healthy Ageing" has been delayed. I know several in our community expressed interest in contributing to the consultation. They hope to be able to communicate more about the consultation later in the year but there is nothing definite. If you come our event 7 September, you can ask Innovate UK yourself!
