Our Designer in Residency Programme continues on Tuesday 17 Nov at 2pm (UK time). At our last session, we learnt about the first phase of the design process 'Discovery'. This session will focus on second phase of the design process - Define. Join us to learn how to re-frame a challenge and make sure you get yourself a "good juicy" challenge definition. Click the "Get Tickets" button below to register.
The session will be 90 mins:
30 mins - Why Define Matters
30 mins - Partner Showcase - (Josh) Kulbir Bacherr
10 mins - Self Guided Focus - What have you been inspired by to take forward?
20 mins - Shared Learnings
We have designed the session in a way that the majority of the featured content will be covered in the first 60 minutes. We have decided to extend the sessions to 90 minutes, for those that choose where there is more time and an opportunity for those that stay the entire session. As there will be space for reflection and sharing together what you take away.
If you are interested in staying later for the second part of the session (The full 90 minutes) please do reach out and let us know so we can manage numbers.
We look forward to welcoming you!
Session will be facilitated by Alice, founder of Ageable our designer in residence. Ageable uses design and creativity to re-design the ways that we live, age and care.
We will also be joined by our super special guest Ela, Ela is joining Alice and Eric to bring her design wisdom and experience to support these sessions, helping all of us to be able to make the most out of the residency.
Ela Neagu, is an experience focused design-engineer with a background in research and user centred products. She has worked for clients such as VersusArthritis, Imperial College and Shift Design. She also has entrepreneurial experience having co-founded her own start-up in cybersecurity and is now supporting other young ventures.
Her focus is in healthcare and inclusive design, particularly projects investigating user experience, behaviour and sensitive information. Her core interests are information distilling and methods to create better communication.
In order to take the most out of the session - then please do spend some time thinking about a challenge/idea/problem that you can bring to support others. Otherwise be keen to be able to build on other people's ideas too!

I am a designer with a diverse range of skills in health and social care, ageing, and end of life. Passionate about ageing, care homes, sustainability & the power of people & generations. At Ageable I am working on projects where I can give away all I know to forward thinking and innovative people, projects and organisations in their approach to helping us live well as we age.
I believe that strategy comes from a deep understanding of user research. Insights and observations paired with a problem solving approach create actionable solutions that impact markets. User experience is core to bringing to life these solutions and empower people.
