Join the Aging2.0 San Francisco Chapter and Hanson Bridgett for an overview of practical legal information for early-stage entrepreneurs. Learn from experts about legal and business issues you need to know about to protect you and your company.

Yes, we understand that business structures and legal matters may not be top of mind as you start your company. You are laser focused on creating an incredible product. But undoubtedly you've heard horror stories from other entrepreneurs who ignored dealing with "legal stuff" ... until it was too late. Don't be one of them. What you don't know can hurt you.

We are going to cover a lot of ground to provide you with a foundation for launching your company, including:

  • What is the best type of legal entity for your company? LLC? Delaware C-Corp? or are there other alternatives?
  • Do you understand how to issue equity to founders and key employees? (hint: a handshake is not a good plan)
  • How can you secure rights to IP (Intellectual Property)?
  • What's in a name? (a potential lawsuit if you don't do a trademark search)
  • Does HIPAA apply to you? Are you sure?
  • Want to raise money? Some early-stage fundraising basics and tips.

Don't miss this overview of legal issues every early-stage entrepreneur needs to be familiar with. While this event is targeted at early-stage entrepreneurs developing products and services to tackle the biggest challenges and opportunities in aging, all entrepreneurs are welcome.

This event is sponsored by Aging2.0 in association with Hanson Bridgett.
