The ValidaMaturi” event that took place on Oct 6th put together a group of 10 mentors who pro bono assisted 36 older adults, all of them potential entrepreneurs, in organizing their ideas in a Canvas. During the morning, the class was lectured on basics of financial viability of projects, and then the theory behind the Canvas. In the afternoon, the mentors helped the class with the discussion of the validation of the ideas and then with filling the canvas. This part was done individually, and then groups were formed so that each participant could explain to the others what she or he had had been working on. It was a very fun and rewarding for all involved, and both the class and the mentors certainly learned a lot. ValidaMaturi was designed by Maturijobs, a startup that focus on helping older adults finding a job or an occupation, and also in helping people gather to mingle and to find a purpose. Aging2.0 SP helped with the organization, the content and also with the financial viability module. Maturijobs is one of the 13 startups that received a prize at Aging2.0 SP’s startup search that took place last April
