WHAT: As most leading payers now recognize, social isolation is emerging as the biggest threat to health and healthcare spending in our aging nation. Join us for a webinar to learn how innovative Medicare Advantage plans are addressing this significant issue in partnership with Element3 Health.
By combining the three most important elements of health – physical, social and mental activity – into one comprehensive, desirable solution, Element3 Health reaches far beyond typical gym-membership benefits to reduce social isolation and improve the quality of life for older people.
Meet David Norris, Chairman and CEO of Element3 Health, who will detail the scope of the issue and present the first scalable solution for this growing epidemic.
WHY: Social isolation and loneliness contribute to $75 billion in preventable healthcare costs in the U.S. annually. The feeling of being alone in this world, disconnected from friends and family, increases our risk of everything from dementia to cancer.
Given that one-third of the nation is aging alone, social isolation and loneliness are becoming a healthcare epidemic on par with obesity and smoking.
Researchers who have dedicated their lives to fighting cancer, dementia and other devastating diseases are now turning their attention to the role loneliness plays in our health.
WHEN: April 24, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (Mountain Daylight Time - MDT)
