Join other KC aging experts, advocates and innovators for our monthly Innovation in Aging event. Each month Aging2.0 Kansas City presents speakers covering topics related to aging and innovation followed by in-depth discussion.
Our first speaker will be Kristi Williams, E. Jean Hill Professor at the University of Kansas School of Nursing.
FamTechCare is an NIH-supported research study testing the use of telehealth technology designed to help family caregivers manage challenging everyday situations associated with dementia care. Short videos, that caregivers create at home, are securely uploaded over the internet and reviewed by a panel of experts who provide recommendations to improve care.
Our second speakers will be Adam Sobol, Founder and CEO, and Andy Rapoport, Research Manager, of CareBand.
CareBand, strives to reduce death and injuries due to dementia-related wandering, while enhancing the quality of life for those living with dementia through proactive technology. CareBand provides indoor and outdoor location monitoring without using Wi-Fi or cellular data, as well as caregiver call functionality.
