Care Partnership Day

Sat, Oct 20, 2018, 8:30 AM (PDT)

Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or another dementia can be overwhelming – emotionally, physically, psychologically and financially. For family caregivers, it is a 24x7 job that gets progressively more stressful. That’s why proper care requires partnering with a variety of resources.

Care Partnership Day, Saturday, October 20, 2018, 9:00 a.m. – 1:15 p.m., at Town & Country Lutheran Church 4049 Marconi Ave, Sacramento, brings together a variety of expertise all geared towards helping family caregivers. Over 20 professionals representing a cross-section of services will be on hand to share information and resources. Professionals range from a mobility equipment provider to a family counselor, from an end-of-life coach to a reverse mortgage expert, from a long-term-health-insurance provider to a hospice representative – plus many, many more.

There also will be two panel discussions. Sacramento chapter of Aging2.0 is proudly hosting a panel of entrepreneurs and showcasing their innovative solutions to gather caregiver and user feedback.  We will raffle off prizes to participants who evaluate the products and provide suggested ways to improve their products and services.

The other panel discussion will be on Veterans’ Benefits, Medicare and MediCal.

Several professionals will provide 30-minute, private consultations with caregivers at no charge. Preregistration for free consultations is required at . For general admission, if you register via Aging2.0 (here) before October 18 5:00pm, you will receive a free lunch.  For those who do not preregister, you may purchase lunch for $5.00 at the event.
