The video “Crossing Time” shows the variety of the elderly population in Brazil, a country with over 210 million people, of which 30 million of 60+ - a number that has been rapidly growing. It was conceived by film maker Sergio Roizenblit, with the support (help in the content curation and subjects' selection and interviews) of Aging2.0 São Paulo and Ativen. The video was commissioned by a local insurance company, later incorporated by Banco do Brasil Seguros. Its original version is composed of 13 interviews of 25 min each, with Brazilian 60+ of different regions, backgrounds and social milieu. But it was never shown until Aging2.0 São Paulo worked with director Sergio Roizenblit to create a 40 minute version, which was premiered in our end of the year event last December 12th, at the Unibes Cultural Center’s Theater: over 300 people attended the ceremony, and gave the film a standing ovation. This 7 minute trailer is just a taste - but a strong and good one - of how the “Mature Brazilians” think of themselves, what they need and wish. The full 40 min version will be hopefully made available to the Aging2.0 Community by the end of April 2020, for we are still collecting the funds to insert the subtitles. Hope you all enjoy the trailer - have fun with the “Maduros do Brasil”.
