2026–27 Innovation Focus: Patient Safety & Engagement
Aging2.0 is working with the Health Innovation Alliance (HIA), a network of healthcare providers, payors, technology companies, investors, and other industry leaders, to source innovation across four active focus areas this year. Applications are open now for all four. You don't need to wait for a refined problem statement to apply. All submissions are considered, and we'll route you into the right evaluation as each problem statement sharpens.
- Medication Safety & Adherence — Refined challenge: medication reconciliation failures during the transition from hospital to skilled nursing or assisted living, driven by unreverted formulary substitutions at discharge, unreliable intake data, and/or EHR non-interoperability across care settings. Deadline to submit for this pipeline: September 21st.
- Risk Reduction & Predictive Analytics — Problem statement anticipated: Nov. ‘26
- Fall Prevention & Mobility Support — Problem statement anticipated: Winter ‘27
- Behavioral & Mental Health Safety — Problem statement anticipated: Spring ‘27
