MEET NEW YORK CHAPTER AMBASSADOR
KATHY MILLS
Kathy Mills is a designer who primarily works with public health, climate resilience and human rights organizations. She has focused on serving under-represented groups, leveraging digital platforms for social good. Her clients have included CUNY’s School of Public Health, Yale School of Forestry, the UN Core Group, Human Rights Watch and OutRight International.
She is equally comfortable in entrepreneurial spaces. Before running her own design studio, she was a multimedia specialist for a B2B startup within Thompson Reuters. More recently, she participated in Climate Designers/Project M, was a cohort member at Climatebase, and a Design Fellow with Blue Ridge Labs @ Robin Hood Foundation.
Kathy aims to use her design and tech expertise to address challenges faced by older individuals and their families – to foster connection, enhance safety, simplify daily interactions, and protect the rights of aging populations.
She has a BFA from Tufts University/Museum School, an MFA from Bard College, and is professionally certified in Adobe products and UX/UI.
